The proposed development spans from 392 to 412 Wilson Street East and involves relocating the Marr Philippo House from its current streetscape location to the back corner of the lot. The planned location is essentially out of sight, in an area more commonly used for facilities like maintenance sheds. This represents a disappointing fate for a historic Heritage building.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-1\">Additionally, it remains uncertain whether the 175-year-old Marr Philippo House can even be moved. The developer, as part of a Heritage Permit, was required to provide assessments from engineers with expertise in heritage buildings and confirmation from a firm experienced in relocating such buildings that the move is feasible. However, AVHC (Ancaster Village Heritage Community) believes this work has not been completed or submitted to the City. Despite this, the City has deemed the development application complete, leaving the future of the Marr Philippo House unresolved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"my-1\"><strong class=\"font-semibold\">The City is seeking feedback<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>on the staff report, and AVHC strongly encourages community members to provide their input.
